I am writing to invite you to be a sponsor of the 2024 Ovid Carriage Festival. As you may have heard this year’s festival is going to look a little different. A few of the biggest changes will be the festival will only be one day, Saturday, September 7, 2024, there will be no carnival, nor will there be an entertainment tent. We are still working with a wonderful group of volunteers and hope to again make this a special event for our community. The festival is in its 31st year due in large part to the businesses that contribute annual monetary support.
Our focus is and will always be on the community, and what we can do to make this day enjoyable for all the families in our town. We will be bringing in inflatables that can be enjoyed by kids of all ages, we will have the popular parade and kid’s tractor pull. The craft and vendor show will still be going on as will the arm-wrestling tournament, and there will be a wrestling exhibition and food trucks. There will be a pancake breakfast hosted by the Lions Club and bingo in the hall. We are excited to be partnering with the Community Mural project which will be inviting the community to paint part of the mural during the festival. Prep for this has begun on the side of the Corner Carousal building. We are continuing to plan and will be filling in gaps where we can.
We are selling advertising spots for a large banner that will be displayed downtown. The cost of advertising will be $150 for the name of your business and $300 for the name and logo of your business. The banner will be put up prior to the festival. Sponsors will also be announced during the parade and on our social media pages as well as in flyers. We hope your company will consider this opportunity. We are also looking for full sponsorship of a face painter and other children’s entertainment.
With your generous support, the festival in turn can continue to thrive and put on the popular Christmas Party and Memorial Day Luncheon and provide a donation for the Ovid Healthcare Easter Egg Hunt.
